Wrens Club Director

Rate of Pay:

$13.50/hour

Weekly Schedule:

Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:30pm with 30 minute unpaid lunch break

General Position Description:

Responsible for successful programming, staffing, parent relations, and fiscal management of Wrenshall’s school age care programming. The program will provide activities in a fun, safe, caring environment that fosters recreational, social, educational and developmentally appropriate experiences.

Education/Licensure Needed:

High School Diploma

Child Development Associate (preferred)

Job Qualifications:

  • Supervisory Experience
  • CPR & First Aid certification (certified or willing to obtain)
  • Successful experience in working with children
  • Demonstrates understanding of child development
  • Successful experience working with parents and co-workers
  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Able to handle activities with groups of children and develop positive relationships with them
  • Able to handle lifting and bending, and may spend time sitting on the floor or child sized furniture

Essential Duties (included but not limited to):

  1. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  2. Hire qualified staff to maintain staff-child ratio
  3. Plan and implement trainings and in-services for Wrens Club staff
  4. Communicate with parents in regard to schedules, billing, concerns, and any other issues
  5. Create weekly schedules for staff, children, and teachers
  6. Keep daily attendance records to ensure all children are accounted for and arrive safely to locations according to their schedules provided by parents
  7. Manage student billing and program purchases, including food orders and lunch counts
  8. Ensure that daily schedule is being followed by all staff
  9. Communicate program details to Community Education Director and Superintendent
  10. Develop communication methods for families through family folders, monthly newsletters, etc.
  11. Submit all Wrens Club payroll sheets
  12. Supervise and assist staff with any questions, comments, problems, and ideas.  Conduct staff disciplinary actions when necessary.

Wrens Club Activities Coordinator

Wrenshall School is seeking a Wrens Club Activities Coordinator. The position will be Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm and is $12/hour. The Wrens Club Activities Coordinator is responsible for planning and leading daily activities for all children who attend Wrens Club. The program will provide nature-based learning in a fun, safe, caring environment that fosters recreational, social, educational, and developmentally appropriate experiences. Special Education Paraprofessional

Wrenshall School is seeking a Certified Special Education Paraprofessional to join our special education team providing support to students in a variety of K-12 settings. This is a full-time, 9 month position per ESP contract for the 2019-2020 school year. Math Tutor – Minnesota Math Corps

Tutors work one-on-one or in small groups with students during school hours between January – June. No matter if you’re a recent grad, career changer, stay-at-home parent or retiree, you can make a great tutor. No experience? No problem. Math Corps provides comprehensive training in strategies proven to help students learn, so tutors are well equipped to help students grow.

Perks as A Tutor

  • Receive a stipend every two weeks
  • Earn up to $4,200 for college tuition or student loans. Tutors 55 and older may gift the award to their child, grandchild, stepchild or foster child.

Substitute Bus Drivers

Wrenshall School District is seeking substitute bus drivers for morning and afternoon routes as well as extra curricular routes. Drivers are required to obtain CDL with School Bus Endorsement. The district will provide free training to eligible candidates. Must pass a DMV check, criminal background check and drug screening. An employment application may be found below.
