My name is Adam Nelson, and I am honored to be currently serving as Interim Superintendent of Wrenshall Public Schools. I am in my fourteenth year in the education field. I spent nine years teaching middle and high school Social Studies and four and a half years as the principal at Cook County Schools. Needless to say, am passionate about education and providing the best possible educational experience for the students in the district. Having worked in two small school districts over the last five years as an administrator, I have seen the value of “small schools” and the impact they have on students.
Wrenshall is a very welcoming, small community that supports its school. As a new member of the district and community, my experience meeting community members, students, and staff has been incredibly positive. Getting to know the students in the district has truly been a wonderful experience and the leadership capacity that has been established within the staff at Wrenshall Schools is very impressive. The Wrenshall community needs to be proud of the great work our teachers do on a daily basis.
Since starting the interim superintendent position in January 2018, my family has adjusted well to the area. My wife Jackie was able to transfer locations to an office in the area, maintaining her position. My daughter Ebba (5) and son Patrick (3) are really enjoying Little Wrens, Hatchlings and Wrens Club. It is pretty special that I can take my children to such a great school.
I look forward to continue learning more about the students, staff, and community of Wrenshall. Feel free to stop in, call, or email me if you want to say hello or if you have any questions or concerns regarding the district. I can be reached at (218) 384-4274, extension 2003 or email@example.com
