MS/HS Counseling & Career Center
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! My name is Erik Holter and I am Wrenshall’s 7-12 School Counselor. Within this academic year, and each to follow, my goal is to promote academic, personal, and social success for all Wrenshall students.
I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology in 2008 from The College of Saint Scholastica, then took my studies to The University of Wisconsin-Superior where I received my M.S.E. in School Counseling in 2011. I grew up in Proctor, Minnesota and recently moved back there with my wife, Emily, and our two wonderful kids Halle (10) and Ruxen (9). Outside of school I love spending time with my family and friends, being as active as possible, and working on the “endless” projects around our house.
I want to assure you that I understand and hold you and your family’s privacy and confidentiality to the highest standards. It is my belief that if children can find a sense of safety, security, and understanding, they are better able to open their minds to learning, which creates a happy and healthy school environment for all to enjoy.
I’m truly looking forward to a successful and energizing school year here at Wrenshall that’s full of GRIT and OPTIMISM!
WE ARE WRENSTRONG!
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have regarding your child’s academic, personal, or social-well being.
