Superintendent

Hello Everyone! My name is Ms. Kimberly Belcastro, and I am the Superintendent for Wrenshall Public Schools. I am starting my twenty-ninth year in the education field. I spent ten years teaching at the middle and secondary level, twelve years as a school principal, and am now starting my ninth year as a superintendent. The 2018-2019 school year is my seventh year working in the Wrenshall Public Schools District. Education is my passion and I enjoy sharing my experience and energy towards helping students receive the best possible education. I also believe in the value of “small schools” and personalizing education to meet the needs of all students.

Wrenshall is a very nice, small community and is a community that supports its school. I have been working closely with our school board in making positive changes in the school programming to allow for long term stability of the district. Our staff members are fantastic and are willing to change with the times and provide our students with unlimited opportunities for growth and success.

My husband Jay and I are both from the area. He attended the Duluth Public Schools and I attended the Esko Public Schools. We have five children, four grown up and one that attends Wrenshall. We also now have eight grandchildren. We are fortunate to be able to be living and working in the area close to our families.

I know many of our students and families here in Wrenshall. However, there are still some that I have not met yet. Feel free to stop in, call, or email me if you want to say hello or if you have any questions or concerns regarding the district. I can be reached at 384-4274, extension 2003 or kbelcastro@isd100.org

I am looking forward to an exceptional 2018-2019 school year!
